I set up IncreasingManagerialSuccess.com in 2007 in response to feedback I was getting from managers I was working with as a trainer and coach. One thing I learned very fast as I worked with these managers: they were great people, committed to doing a good job; really enthusiastic; often ambitious, but struggling to get access to support which would help them enhance their skills as they moved into management or aspired to higher things.

What they really didn’t want was jargon, theories or management speak: they wanted practical, low-cost support which wouldn’t take them away from the office for too long. They wanted to be able to find answers to questions quickly and easily – not trawling through the internet or hundreds of management books out there.

And they didn’t have big company budgets for training.

And so, IncreasingManagerialSuccess.com was born.

A psychology graduate, with a background in teaching, then in the Pharmaceutical Industry, Shona has trained, coached and mentored others for over 30 years, setting up Shona Garner Coaching in 2003.

As a fully accredited coach and Member of the Association for Coaching (MAC), an Associate of The Mind Gym (www.themindgym.com) and a newly appointed Ambassador for the Chartered Management Institute (www.managers.org ) Shona and her associates coach, train and facilitate in organisations across the UK, with a growing presence abroad.
