Brand New Training Programme for Managers
A shameless plug – but something of which I’m very proud!
I am delighted to say months of hard work, and lots of delivering a flagship workshop and soliciting manager opinions about what they want most help with, has at last produced our structured, yet flexible 5 day open training programme for managers and supervisors, at any level, who wants to hone their people skills.
All my research and discussions with hundreds of managers over the last 18 months has revealed a massive desire to feel more comfortable, confident and skilled at managing the complex, often challenging task of engaging, motivating and fostering high performance in their staff.
The same issues come up time and time again. Here’s some of the most common:
- How do I motivate my staff when they’re facing uncertainty/massive change/redundancy?
- How do I manage underperformance? (yet still maintain a good relationship?)
- I’m expected to oversee development plans but I don’t know quite where to begin to get best results.
- How do I stop gossip/conflict in the team?
- How can I incentivise when we’ve no money for bonuses?
- How do I manage someone I used to work alongside?
- How do I manage my boss?
Well – we’ve now pulled together not only some answers to these questions, but we’re ready to share some real, proven, practical, yet simple management skills training resources and techniques to help managers deal with some of these issues and more.
Not heavy on theory; (although grounded in good psychology and business research) Not full of jargon. Not “chalk and talk”. This training programme for managers shares ideas, techniques and knowledge – but more importantly, holds you accountable, and encourages real action planning, so you use the techniques in the real world and actually see results.
Beginning on the 30th September, managers can attend the full training programme, or only the days which cover skills they want the most – and I’m delighted, that on day one of the launch we already have our first booking for the programme!
And what’s more, you may be able to claim a grant to support your participation through the Train to Gain programme! Contact your local Business Link for details.
I’ll keep you posted on the results!
