6 WEEKS TO VIRTUAL TEAM MASTERY

The programme for any service business owner or solopreneur who wants faster growth, steadier income and less overwhelm.

When you began your service business or started out as a solopreneur it’s my guess you did it because:

  • You wanted to be your own boss – you were fed up of being dictated to by others, and anyhow, you could make more money doing it yourself.
  • You dreamed of higher income.
  • You wanted to have more time to enjoy the other important things in your life.
  • You dreamed of a lifestyle where you weren’t working long hours for someone else.

I did too. I had all those dreams – and more.

The irony is, 2 years in and the reality looked more like this:

  • I wasn’t making the income I dreamed about.
  • I was working longer hours than ever.
  • I had a “to do list” as long as my arm, and a lot of it stuff I didn’t understand, or didn’t enjoy, or found I was slow at doing, and never seemed to have the time to get round to doing!
  • My income was erratic – some months were good, and I was really busy. Others were quiet and it was a frantic scrabble to try to drum up more business to make ends meet.

And my lifestyle? That’s a joke! I was working for the toughest boss ever – me! Thankfully my children were grown and fled the nest – or they’d have never seen me at all.

The truth is – no real business is run by just one person alone.
If you’re trying to do it all alone – you’ve not got a business – you’ve got a job.

The irony was my service business was helping managers in big corporates build more productive teams! It was staring me in the face – there was me teaching others how to build teams to get more done and I was trying to do it alone!

I’d already begun to reach out to mentors: other business owners who were doing what I wanted to do – but were way ahead of me in terms of their success.

And what I noticed was that they all – yes all had support. Most of them were using the power of the internet to help them grow and build more stability in their income – something I was already beginning to develop myself.

Most of them were not employing  people  in the traditional sense – they were hiring virtual assistants. And so, my quest to build support in my own business using virtual assistants began.

But knowing how to find, advertise, hire, train and keep good virtual assistants is a skill, just like building and motivating a bigger team is!

In the early days I made a lot of mistakes – costly ones! I began to realise that whilst I knew and understood about how to build teams in the traditional sense, building a virtual team to support me in my own business required me to learn the answers to questions such as:

  1. Where do I look for a virtual assistant?
  2. When should I be thinking about hiring support?
  3. What sort of tasks can I outsource to someone virtually?
  4. Do I need someone who lives close to so I can meet them?
  5. How can I trust someone I’ve never physically met?
  6. What does virtual support cost?
  7. How do I know they’re actually working the hours I’m paying them for?
  8. Will hiring virtual support actually help me grow my business or is it simply an expense?
  9. I’ve tried using a VA but it didn’t work out  – how do I avoid making costly mistakes? And the biggest question of all:
  10. How soon will I see a return on my investment?

Introducing 6 weeks to virtual team mastery

A virtual programme guiding you through the steps to finding, hiring and building
your own virtual team.

Everything you need to know, to ensure you get more done, make more money,
and reduce your overwhelm.

This programme uses an innovative on-line private platform where you can read new material, watch video tutorials and download and listen to audios teaching you everything you need to know about building a virtual team.

Over 6 weeks you will cover:

  1. Pre-hire – stage 1: Assessing your current use of time and your income generating activities
Learn what you need to do before you even begin to think about hiring a virtual assistant. This is the step which most people get completely wrong. Fail to do this step properly, and your hire could be a costly mistake.
Access a simple tool which will help you work out where you need to spend your time; which tasks are your “money generating activities” and where you will be best placing your initial virtual support.
  2. Pre-hire – stage 2: Deciding what to delegate first
In this module you’ll look specifically at where you need to focus over the next 12 weeks to generate more income, and what specific tasks you intend to outsource.
You’ll determine what your marketing needs are to generate the cash you want, and then look at which marketing activities you need to outsource for quickest growth. You’ll also learn why it’s critical you start to set up processes and systems to ensure some of these activities happen automatically, without you having to be there.
  3. Hiring the right person – stage 1: Writing the job description and role requirements
In this module you’ll learn how to assess and develop the requirements of the role you’re hiring for, and how to write a brilliant job description to attract the best candidates.
I give you checklists and a template to help you get this right for any role you might want to hire.
And we’ll focus you on how to utilise the internet to help you market your business and offer you an opportunity to generate passive income too! All using virtual support, so it’s completely “hands free” for you.
  4. Hiring the right person – stage 2: Finding the best people and how to advertise to attract the best.
In this module you’ll learn where to look to source good people and how to design your advert.
Understand whether you need to look locally, or can outsource much further away.
Learn some of the best sites where you can find great support and I take you by the hand with video tutorials showing you exactly how to post on sites such as Odesk, or Elance and others. Learn about virtual teams, and how you can make them work for you as well as techniques which help you weed out poor candidates before the interview stage.
  5. Hiring the right person – stage 3: Interviewing and hiring
How to evaluate the applicants; how to set up a virtual interview and what questions to ask.
I share tips on evaluating a number of different roles, including support for copywriting, social media support, web design and programming, marketing and traffic generation specialists, customer service representatives, product creation specialists and technical support.(If you’re  stuck in the “feast and famine” syndrome in terms of income generation, setting up some of these support roles so you’re constantly bringing in new leads to your business or selling more to your existing clients or customers is going to be absolutely crucial to you getting out of this tiring cycle.)
  6. Induction, training; performance management and the key to your business running without you:
Once you’ve hired, how do you ensure your new staff hit the ground running? How do you train them so they do things the way you like? How do you keep good people and when do you fire the ones that aren’t making the grade?
I’ll give you checklists and simple steps to follow to help you effectively delegate to a number of different roles you might be hiring. I’ll teach you some quick and easy ways you can set up training for staff which means that, even if one person leaves, it’s easy to train their replacement without you having to go back to the drawing board.
And I’ll teach you the crucial skill of setting up an operations manual which is your ticket to freedom!
If part of your dream when you began your business was having more time off to do the things you want, with the people you love – then this module is an absolute MUST for you. This one thing alone will turn your business into a real business: one you can eventually leave for weeks at a time, knowing it will still generate cash for you.

And you don’t get the whole lot dumped on you at once! Even the self-study version automatically drip feeds the information, so you don’t get even more overwhelmed than you already are!

Each week, for the 6 weeks, one module is released at a time, giving you time to read the material, watch any video tutorials or listen to any audios, then work through the exercises.

I want you to succeed – not feel this is yet another thing which threatens to overwhelm you, or which you purchase then do nothing with.

Follow the steps – and by the end of the 6 weeks, you’ll have your first hire – already saving you time and with a plan already in action to generate cash to pay for that support and make you a profit!

And that’s not all! There are 2 bonus modules!

Bonus module 1: Delegating pitfalls to avoid
Download this mp3 audio and transcript which shares some of the most important pitfalls you need to avoid when you are working with your virtual support.
The truth is, sometimes we don’t get the service we wanted from our support – but actually, it’s less about them, and more about us.

In this audio, learn some of the biggest mistakes you can make when you’re delegating to anyone – so you get the very best from all your virtual team.

Bonus module 2: Secrets of successful outsourcers
Another superb audio and transcript of an interview I had with 3 highly successful solopreneurs and service business owners . Learn how these amazing individuals have used virtual teams to double or triple their income whilst reducing their working hours.
These people inspired me – they can inspire you too!

In just 6 weeks you could have your first hire; have released at least 10 hours a month (for many of you you’ll release far more!), to focus on your highest pay-off activities, with plans in place to make that support pay for itself within weeks, so you can hire more, and generate even more income!

You have a choice of levels of support for this programme:

Level 1: Self-study version: £147

Everything described above, including the bonuses, and access to the private platform containing all the resources. You get access to this platform for life. You can download the checklists and other useful resources, such as the audios; you can use it as a workbook to work through the exercises and you can record your progress, all in your own private workspace.

Level 2: Self-study plus online coaching version: £397

The self-study package as above, but you’ll work through the exercises online and submit your work and questions to me. Once a week I’ll check your progress and answer any specific questions you have.  This is giving you access to really personalised coaching specific to your own business – but at a rate you can afford.

Level 3: VIP version: £997 (limited to 25 spaces at any one time)

Really serious about making this work? Want someone to really support you through the whole process; help you work through each module; vet your progress; make suggestions specific to your business? Then this version may be for you.

You get everything from level 2 PLUS: 2 telephone emergency strategy sessions of 45 minutes each and 20 hours with my own trusted virtual team to help really get you motoring before the 6 weeks is up.
We’ll make a plan together about what needs delegating first, what’s important to you, and what your first tasks you delegate will be, and you’ll have 20 hours of time which will ensure this project is rocking by the time you complete the programme.

In just 6 weeks you will have everything you need to help you gain faster growth, steadier income and less overwhelm. Apply all the techniques you learn in this programme and your virtual support will end up paying for themselves.

Not sure this is for you right now? Maybe you fall into one of these 3 very common traps:

TRAP 1: I can’t afford to hire anyone right now. When I’m earning more I’ll hire someone.
This is the biggest mistake you can make.
Tell me – if you’re not getting everything done now, what makes you think it’s going to be different in 6 weeks time? How long have you been struggling trying to do it all and failing miserably? I can tell you there is NO way you’ll ever be able to do it all. How on earth is anyone supposed to deliver a product or service, deal with customers, do the marketing, sort out the blogging, social media, advertising, website, customer service, refunds….. I could go on – but I hope you’re getting the message! These things are all part of what will help you generate steady, reliable income – you either do them – or you don’t. And if you don’t, then your business will continue to lurch from feast and famine and you’ll get worn out.

If you were a retailer, you’d have to invest in premises. You’ve probably already invested in some things for your business already – business cards; promotional literature; advertising; a website (but is that website generating you money? If it’s not, it should be – and a virtual assistant can help you with that)

And how much have these investments earned you back?

You cannot build a business without investing. Yes: a virtual assistant will cost you money – but like ANY tool you use to grow your business, you can use it well, or badly! Use this one well, and I promise you, you will see a return on your investment worth far more than any business card, advert or promotional materials will get you.

This investment, done properly, will not only help you grow your business, it’ll give you your life back!

TRAP 2: I’ve only just set up my business. I’ll think about support further down the road.

Know what? If you don’t get used to getting help from the get-go, you’re going to have a hard time giving stuff up further down the road – and you could end up like those people who thought exactly like you and who are now drowning in work (mostly not the paying kind!), experiencing “feast and famine” income wise, and totally worn out.

Worse still – you could end up hating the business you were once so excited about.

Start planning NOW. Start delegating something now! The more you do it – the easier it gets, and the better you get at it. You’re developing the mind of a real business, not holding on to the mind of an employee.

Honestly? It took me too long to “get” this. Don’t make the same mistake I did!

But get help – to do it right. Even if it’s not me! Just get someone to help you who knows what they’re doing – who’s been there already and can guide you so you make fewer mistakes.

TRAP 3: I’ve no experience of managing anyone!

I guess you’ve maybe not had any experience of setting up a business either but you took the plunge! Building a business is like anything else – it’s a learning curve. But there are ways, and ways of learning!

A common strategy business owners use is the: “let’s just try and work it out for myself” strategy which is fine – if you want to take forever getting there; if you want to try piecing together loads of free stuff you find after trawling for hours on the internet. (Hours by the way you and  your virtual support could actually be drumming up new business for you and putting cash into your bank account!)

I  learned that strategy was a slow road to nowhere a long time ago! I’ve not only invested in support ever since, I’ve invested thousands in learning from those who know far better than me, and who can teach me what I need to know in one go – including how to avoid some of the mistakes!

There’s nothing like just rolling your sleeves up and getting stuck in to something you know is going to help you build your business. Doing it with knowledgeable support, sound advice and back up means you will be able to jump in with less risk of drowning – isn’t that worth it? Every successful mentor I’ve chosen had their own mentors and coaches; ALL invested and continue to invest in programmes which will teach them how to do things which will help them build their businesses even further. And they’re successful by anyone’s standards! Yet they still invest in their own learning!

If you’re serious about building yours, maybe you need to take a leaf out of their book?

How much is an average client or customer worth to you over a 12 month period?
If it’s more than £150, then you just need to make one sale and you’ve recovered this investment.
Two sales, and you’ve covered at least 8-10 hours or more of a VA’s time – a VA who could be helping you generate those sales even quicker!

Invest in the coaching programme and you’re more likely to apply what you learn, more quickly.
If you know being held accountable helps you take more action and keep you moving, then this option is best for you – and just 3 average customer spends of £150 would mean you’d break even.

There are only 25 spaces for the VIP programme.

As this programme gives more access to my time, plus access to my own trusted virtual team, this programme is limited to only 25 people on the programme at any one time.

If you’re really serious about rolling your sleeves up and making this work for you, then click through and if  there are spaces available you will be able to book. If we are full, we’ll tell you so, but we’ll keep your contact details and get in touch as soon as a space is free. Alternatively, book the second package and tell us you want to join the VIP – and you’ll be put on high priority. The moment someone completes the VIP programme, you’ll be upgraded.

Still unsure? I’ll offer you a guarantee.

Register for this programme, and if you don’t see results from applying some of the techniques you learn over the 6 weeks I’ll refund your money in full – no quibbles.

All I ask is that you write explaining what actions you took and that you feel they didn’t work for you and I’ll organise (or rather my VA will!) a full refund for you.

How many training courses have you been on recently which gave you that?

May I wish you every success as you build your business and your team!
